Why customer, vehicle, inventory, sales and service intelligence must work - and act - together.
Every year, 17% of this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM’s loyal customers were quietly switching dealerships and taking their entire purchase and service history with them, because that history was scattered across disconnected systems. Ferfier built a dealer-facing Insights app that consolidates sales, service and ownership data into a single 360° view, surfaced through VIN-based lookup at the moment of customer interaction. The result: dealers who can instantly recognize a returning owner and rebuild the relationship.
When a recall depends almost entirely on direct mail, the OEM can never be sure the message actually landed which is a genuine safety, compliance and liability risk. For this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM, Ferfier layered in-car display and mobile app alerts on top of the existing recall system, and gave dealers and the OEM one place to track every notice from dispatch to closure. Owners now hear about recalls through channels they actually use, and everyone can prove the message was delivered.
A narrow but essential dealer-contact capability inside this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM’s field portal was owned by an external vendor which meant ongoing license fees, fixed capacity, and every enhancement routed through a third party. Ferfier rebuilt it as an in-house microservice on Spring Boot and Kubernetes, module by module, without a disruptive full-platform rebuild. The OEM now owns a capability that scales with demand and carries zero third-party licensing dependency.
Over seven years, this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM’s Warranty Claims Application had piled up more than 15 million files in a single flat directory with predictable results: slow access, frequent downtime, and IT teams firefighting alerts just to keep it standing. Ferfier fixed it without new technology or a risky rebuild: a Year/Month folder structure, a 365-day archive rule, and a phased batch migration that moved all 15M+ files while dealers kept working.
Vehicles damaged in transit between plant and dealer were being reported late, incompletely, and inconsistently, leaving this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM and its dealers guessing at the right repair path and carrying avoidable financial exposure. Ferfier replaced manual reporting with automated data feeds from transport partners, a streamlined approval workflow, and a centralized dashboard with clear damage categories that drive consistent repair decisions. Teams now know about damage the moment it’s identified.
One of the most common daily tasks in this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM’s dealer application comprising of tracking a shipment, forced dealers to leave the app entirely and check UPS themselves, with no in-app way to cancel a backorder and reship. Ferfier integrated the UPS web service directly into the workflow: auto-generated labels and tracking numbers, one-step backorder cancellation and reshipment, and a direct link to live status. A small, contained integration with an outsized effect on daily dealer experience.
A high share of warranty claims were being rejected outright, usually for incomplete or incorrect data, caught only after a slow manual review, delaying payment and repairs for this Fortune 500 Global Auto OEM’s repair-center network. Ferfier moved quality control to the front of the process: automated validation and data pre-population catch errors at the point of entry, with real-time reporting so the OEM and repair centers share one live view of claim status.
